Senior Correspondent: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is going to meet with party Chairperson Khaleda Zia who is now in jail after being convicted in a graft case.
"Fakhrul will sit for a meeting with the party chairperson at 3:00pm on Thursday," said Shairul Kabir Khan, media wing member of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office.
On February 8, a special court convicted the former prime minister and sentenced her to five years’ imprisonment in the much-talked-about Zia Orphanage Trust graft case. Later, she was sent to jail.
