Fakhrul urges politicians to be united for sake of country

Senior Correspondent: Claiming that the democracy is in extreme crisis, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has urged politicians of different parties to be united for the sake of country.

The BNP stalwart came up with the urge while speaking at a Iftar programme arranged by the party for politicians at the capital’s Eskaton Ladies Club on Saturday.

Fakhrul said, “We expect that our national politicians will play an important role in this crisis moment of the country. I think, it is necessary to wage a national unity to resolve the crisis.”

He said, “I urge the national politicians who attended the programme to come forward to be united to establish people’s right and to restore democracy.”
