Father kills one child, keeps another hostage

Staff Correspondent: A man has killed one child and kept another child hostage inside a flat in the capital’s Banglamotor.

Officer-in-Charge of Shahbagh Abul Hasan confirmed the matter.

The OC said policemen are trying to enter the flat over the hostage situation.
Akhtaruzzaman Kajol, a mentally unstable man, went out of the house around 8:00am and brought in a cleric (Moulvi) for offering prayers at the house.

After the prayers, the cleric informed Shahbagh police that he saw a child in an unconscious state inside the house.

Informed, a team of Shahbagh police led by Officer-in-Charge Abul Hasan went to the house and found it was locked from inside.
