Father placed on 3-day remand for killing minor son

Staff Correspondent: A court here in Dhaka on Thursday placed father Nuruzzaman Kajol on a 3-day remand after rejecting his bail in a case filed for killing his minor son at their house in the city’s Banglamotor area on Wednesday.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mandal passed the order when police produced Kajol before the court seeking a 10-day remand.

Maliha Akhter, wife of Nuruzzaman Kajol filed the case against him with Shahbagh Police Station on Wednesday night.

Earlier on Wednesday, police recovered the body of three-year old boy Safayat   and rescued his brother Surayat from a house in the city’s Banglamotor area which remained cordoned off by joint forces.

Police arrested Nuruzzaman Kajol for keeping his two sons hostage at the house.
