Finance Minister makes mistake: CEC

Staff Correspondent: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda said that the Finance Minister has made a mistake addressing over date of the 11th general election.

CEC came up with the observation while talking to reporters on the second of 9th FEMBoSA conference at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in the capital on Thursday.

Nurul Huda said, “The election commission has ability to arrange general election in free, fair and neutral manners.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith said, “The poll-time interim government would be formed by next 20 days and the 11th general election is likely to be held on December 27.”

CEC made the observation after reporters drew his attention over the statement of Finance Minister.
