Fire at Gazipur garment factory

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A fire broke out at a garment factory at Konabari BSIC industrial area of Gazipur early Monday.
On information nine fire units rushed to spot and brought the blaze under control after six hours frantic efforts.
Confirming the matter, Gazipur Fire Service and Civil Defence deputy assistant director Md Akhtaruzzaman said the fire was brought under control around 8:00am.
The fire originated at the second floor of the factory and spread out quickly in the garment factory as there were lots of synthetic thread and cotton, he added.
