Fire at Health Directorate's storehouse

Staff Correspondent: A fire has broken out at the storehouse of the Health Directorate at the capital's Mohakhali around on Saturday midnight.

Some 14 units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence brought the blaze under control after nearly 2:45 hours (at 3:15am on Sunday).

Md Mahmudur Rahman, Inspector of the control room of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters, confirmed the news.

He said the fire broke out at 12:30am on Sunday that spread across the storehouse within a while. Fire Service men face difficulties to douse the blaze as there was a large amount of chemical in the storehouse.

He, however, could not tell about the damage and casualties.
