Fire in Cox's Bazar house kills 2

Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: Two people died in the fire that broke out on Saturday night at a house in Kolatoli area of Cox’s Bazar district.

The deceased were identified as Sadia Aktar, 5, son of Abdul Monaf and Atiqur Rahman, 35.

Fire Station Officer Mohammad Idris said the fire originated in the area around 11:00pm, leaving the two people died including a minor. Three houses were gutted in the fire.

On information, a fire unit rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after half an hour effort. Meanwhile, three fire fighters also received injuries.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately. Details can be said after investigation, said Mohammad Idris.
