Firing, explosion at Panthapath den, one injured

Staff Correspondent: A person has been injured in bomb blasting and firing at the militant hideout cordoned off by law enforcers at the capital's Panthapath area.
The injured who could not be identified immediately was admitted to the Square Hospital.
Law enforcers surrounded a building as a suspecting militant hideout where Hotel Olio International is situated since early Tuesday.
Yeasin Arafat, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kalabagan Police Station, said militants are holing up at the fourth floor of the hotel. There might be huge explosives inside hideout.
Residential borders are being rescued first, he added.
Meanwhile, a SWAT (Special Weapons And Tactics) team is trying to enter the building since 8:00am. Later, two sounds of gunfire were heard from the hotel around 9:45am. After a while, a sound of heavy explosion was heard. Since, frequent sounds were heard for five minutes. It might be sounds of gunfight between the law enforcers and the militants.
