Five Titas officials suspended over corruption

Staff Correspondent: Five officials of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd have temporarily been suspended for their alleged involvement in corruption.
The news was revealed on Wednesday morning.
It has been understood that the authorities took the decision of suspending them as they violated rules and regulations depositing social security fund in a certain bank.
Earlier, on October 4, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) sought a ban on their travels in a letter to immigration department.
The suspend officials are: Titas Gas managing director (MD) Mir Mashiur Rahman, Deputy General Manager SM Abdul Wadud, Narayanganj regional office general manager Shafiqur Rahman, manager of engineering services department Shahjada Faraji and assistant officer Abu Siddique Tayani.
