Staff Correspondent: At least five people were killed and 50 others injured in a road accident in Satmail Bazar area on Jessore-Jhenaidah highway on Tuesday noon.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Local sources said that Kushtia-bound a passenger bus hit a roadside tree around 1:00pm, leaving the five people dead on the spot and injured 50 people.
The death toll expected to rise.
