Flight operations resume at Shahjalal

Staff Correspondent: Flight operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport resumed at around 11:00am, after few hours of disruption due to low visibility caused by dense fog early Friday.

Earlier, the airport authorities said the flights came to a complete halt around 4:00am due to the dense fog.

Civil Aviation Security Officer Superintendent of Police (SP, APBn) Tarik Ahmed said eight scheduled flights could not reach desired destination due to fog. But, the flight operations have been resumed as the fog disappeared around 11:00am.

The passengers suffered a lot following the flight disruption. Security forces faced trouble due to the pressure of passengers. However, the situation became normal after the flight operations resumed.
