Four of a family burnt in capital

Staff Correspondent: Four members of a family suffered burn injuries when a fire broke out in their house at Shajadpur Khilbari Tech area of Bhatara Thana on Monday night.

The victims were identified as Shahidul Islam (65), his wife Nodira Begum (55), and their two sons Jihad (32) and Morshed (26).

The injured were admitted to the burn unit of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Shahidul Islam received 15 per cent burn injuries to his body while his wife Nodira Begum sustained 85 per cent burns, Jihad 30 percent and Morshed 3 percent.

The reason behind the fire was gas leak from their stove at their residence.
