Fraudster arrested in city

Staff Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested mastermind of fraud gang from the capital’s Uttara for allegedly collecting money from people in the name of providing government and non-government jobs.

RAB arrested Nazrul conducting a drive at House 23, Sector 3, Road 2 in the capital’s Uttara on Friday.

Law enforcers also seized different fake documents of job appointment and seals from his possession.

According to RAB, acting on tip off, a team of RAB conducted a drive at the house and arrested him. Later, five seals, five cheque books of different banks, 15 cheques of collecting money from different people, 68 non-judicial stamps, 20 admit cards of different government and non-government job recruitment examinations, 40 bio-data and two fake appointment letters were seized from his office.

Meanwhile, Police produced Nazrul before a Dhaka court and sought a 10-day remand for him on Friday.

However, it was not immediately assured about remand term for Nazrul granted by the court till the report was filed.
