Freedom fighters to get free medical services from February

Hasan Mahmud: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced that freedom fighters will get free medical services in all public hospital. Although, the service is being provided at some public hospitals but the facility will be given from next year 2018 in full swing.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque told risingbd the freedom fighters are getting free medical services from July 2016. However, the authority took initiatives to provide free medical services to all freedom fighters across the country from February 2018.

He said that the freedom fighters also will get medicines side by side free medical treatment. A separate allotment would be announced in this regard later.

Earlier, on November 23, 2015, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Mohammed Nasim MP directed the authority concerned to keep a dedicated cabin reserved for freedom fighters and their relatives, as well as providing them all available medicines and examination facilities free-of-cost.

On November 21, 2012, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced free medical service for freedom fighters.
