Gaibandha-B'baria by polls: AL nominates Afroza, Farhad

Staff Correspondent: The ruling Awami League (AL) has nominated Afroza Bari and Badrudduza Md Farhad Hossain Sangram for Gaibandha-1 (Sundarganj) and Brahmanbaria-1 (Nasirnagar) by-polls respectively.
The decision was taken in a parliamentary board meeting at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's official resident Gonobhaban on Friday evening, sources said.
According to the schedule announced by the Election Commission (EC), the by-polls are scheduled to be held on March 13.
The deadline for submission of nomination papers is February 14 while the date for scrutiny is February 16. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is February 23.
