Garment worker gang-raped

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: A female garment worker was reportedly gang-raped by three of her friends when she went to enjoy Pahela Baishakh programmes together with them on Sunday evening.
Victim’s family alleged that Ripon, 26, a driver of the factory, took the girl to a city hotel in the name of celebrating Pahela Baishakh. However, he along with his friends violated the girl there.
According to police, the locals rescued the girl and sent to Patiya Upazila Health Complex. Later, she was shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) following excessive bleeding.
She is now undergoing treatment at the one-stop crisis centre of the hospital.
