Garo girl rape: Householder gives confessional statement

Staff Correspondent: Householder Yusuf Ali, 45, has given confessional statement to a Dhaka court over the rape of Garo girl, 16, in the capital’s Chalachandpur area.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrata Sikder recorded his statement and sent him to jail on Friday, according to the court sources.

Earlier, Gulshan Poice Station Sub-Inspector (SI), also the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, produced him before the court and filed a petition to record his confessional statement.

RAB and DB men arrested him conducting a joint drive at Kaptan Bazar area of the capital on Thursday noon.
