Gazette on presidency published

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission (EC) has published gazette declaring Abdul Hamid as president again.

He was re-elected unopposed as the 21st President of Bangladesh.

The gazette signed by Helaluddin, acting secretary of EC, was published on Wednesday afternoon.

SM Asaduzzman, joint secretary (current) of EC, confirmed the news.



Meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda met President Abdul Hamid and handed over the gazette of his presidency.

A 7-member Election Commission delegation, led by the CEC, went to Bangabhaban in the evening and congratulated the President by presenting him a bouquet.
 
On April 24, 2013, Hamid was sworn in as the 20th President of Bangladesh.
