Girl commits suicide by jumping off building in Banani

Senior Correspondent: A girl has committed to suicide by jumping from a six storied building at Banani in the capital.

The victim was known as Ilona Takwa, 18, daughter of former police officer Kohinur Mia.

Banani police station Officer-in-Charge Farman Ali confirmed the matter on Friday noon.

OC said, after the incident, the girl was taken to Gulshan United Hospital where duty doctor declared her dead on Wednesday afternoon. Later, the body was handed over to the victim’s family after autopsy.
