Gold price falls in local market

Economic Reporter: Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) in a statement to the media on Tuesday said the drop in gold price by Tk 1,166 per bhori (11.664 grams) followed the global fall.
According to the statement, the new price will be effective from Wednesday (Sept 20).
The price was raised on August 12 and September 11. As per new decision the price of per bhori gold has been reduced from Tk 583 to Tk 1,166. The silver price will be unchanged.
Gold of 22-carat will be sold at Tk 48,988 per bhori from Wednesday in line with the revised price. The price of 21-carat gold will be Tk 46,772 and 18-carat gold will be Tk 41,115.
