Gold worth Tk30 lakh seized in Dhaka Airport

Staff Correspondent: Customs officials detained a passenger along with six gold bars, worth Tk30 lakh, from Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Friday afternoon.

The detainee is identified as Saurav Mina.

Sources said that said Sourav landed at Dhaka Airport from Chattogram by a flight of Regent Airways flight No-RX-787 from Thailand on Friday night. On information, a team of customs intelligence officials detained him while he was crossing the domestic terminal. Later, the law enforcers recovered the gold bars from rectum of the passenger.
