Goods-laden train derails in Tejgaon

Staff Correspondent: A Chittagong-bound freight train, leaving Kamalapur Railway Station, derailed in capital’s Tejgaon on Wednesday.
Following the derailment, each of the trains scheduled on the route are facing 2 to 3 hours of delay.
Sitangshu Chakraborty, manager of Kamalapur Station Railway, said five compartments of the train veered off the track around 5:00 am.
The train movement will be normal as soon as possible as restoration work is underway, he added.
