Govt employees to get wages Aug 29 ahead of Eid

Special Correspondent: The government has taken a decision to pay salaries and allowances of August to the officials and employees of government, semi-government and autonomous institutions on August 29 on the occasion of upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha.

It has also decided to pay pension money of August to all retired government employees of the country.

A office order, signed by deputy secretary Mofiz Uddin Ahmed, has been issued from treasury and loan management subsection of the Finance Ministry in this regard on Sunday.

According to the order, the government has taken a decision to pay salaries and allowances of August to the officials and employees of government, semi-government and autonomous institutions and pension money of August to all retired government employees of the country on August 29 as the holy Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on September 2 depending upon the sighting of the moon.
