Govt in all-out war against drugs: Home Minister

Senior Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said the government has gone for an all-out war against drugs.

He said, “We have gone for an in all-out war against drugs. We must win in the war.”

The Minister told this to newsmen after a meeting on law and order ahead of the Eid in his ministry's conference room on Sunday noon.

In reply to a query, Home Minister said the crackdown against drugs will continue until the situation comes under control.

The Minister also urged all the RMG owners to pay salary to their workers by June 7 and Eid bonus by June 10 to avoid unwanted incidents in the sector.

According to law enforcement agencies, 90 people were killed in ‘gunfight’ in anti-drug drives across the country till Sunday since the operation had started.
