Govt names China Harbour in black list

Special Correspondent: The government has named Harbour Engineering Company Limited, a state-owned contracting company of China, in black list for offering Taka 50 lakh in bribe to a secretary.
Later, the secretary informed the government about the matter and therefore the company has been named in black list.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith told reporters after a meeting with World Bank (WB) Vice President for the South Asia Region Annette Dixon at the Secretariat here on Tuesday afternoon.
The company will not get any project in Bangladesh in the future and the government will take steps against its ongoing projects in the country, Muhith said.
