Govt tensed as Khaleda returns: Khasru

Staff Correspondent: BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said the government is feeling nervous as BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia decides to return home despite her treatment is unfulfilled. They are now arresting BNP leaders and activists across the country as they are tensed and frightened.

The BNP stalwart said this in a programme at National Press Club in the capital on Wednesday.

He said journalists asked me that if we are frightened as BNP Chairperson is returning home despite issuing several arrest warrants. I replied them directly that we are not frightened but the government.  The government knows thousands of people will head to the airport today overcoming all the obstacles.

Country's people came to understand over the matter of Chief Justice. People understood that the government does not believe in judiciary. They want to establish one-party rule suppressing all other things, he added.
