Govt thinking about alternative to gas cylinder

Senior Correspondent: Terming gas cylinder as dangerous, Awami League (AL) general, also Road Transport and Bridges Miniter Obaidul Quader said that the government is thinking about alternative to it for vehicle.

He further said instruction has also given to remove all kinds of godowns from residential area of the old Dhaka.

The Minister on Friday said this while visiting patients who were burnt in the deadly fire of Chawkbazar at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Obaidul Quader said, “Gas cylinder in vehicles is causing dangerous incidents. It is better not to use cylinder. The government is thinking about alternatives to gas cylinder for vehicles. Instruction necessary has been in this regard too.”

“Nobody can avoid the responsibility of the tragic incident of Chawkbazar,” he added.
