Govt to open media cell to announce polls result

Secretariat Correspondent: The government is going to open a media center to provide information about the result of national parliament elections.

The media center will remain open 24-hours-a-day on December 29, 30 and 30 under the management of information directorate.

Tarana Halim, State Minister for Information made the disclosure while addressing a press conference at secretariat on Sunday.

She said the information from Election Commission will be displayed at a digital screen. A total of seven officers will work in each shift at the media center.

Besides, Information Department officials will stay at airport to provide primary election information to the foreign observers, she added.
