Govt to recruit more 10,000 physicians

Staff Correspondent: The government will recruit more 10,000 physicians by turns through special Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination in the country for further development of the health sector.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave an administrative approval in this regard on Thursday last.

Regarding the issue, Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim said 10,000 more physicians will be recruited by turns through special BCS examination.

This decision has been taken to reach out the health service to the poorer section of people at grassroots level, he added.

Around 7,000 physicians were recruited through BCS examination in last three years during the tenure of the incumbent government, the minister mentioned.
