Govt will work for all, says PM

Senior Correspondent: Awami League (AL) president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said her government will work for all irrespective of political affiliations.

PM on Saturday made the remarks while addressing a grand rally organised by Awami League at Suhrawardy Udyan to celebrate its massive victory in the 11th parliamentary election.

She said country’s people could cast their votes spontaneously after a long time. She also thanked them for electing Awami League in the December-30 election.

Sheikh Hasina said, “Serving people is more difficult than achieving victory in the polls. People cast their votes for us. We must uphold dignity of their votes. I’m ready to sacrifice my fresh blood of chest for them if needed.”

Awami League won an absolute majority bagging 257 seats in the election held on December 30, 2018.
