Govt working relentlessly to meet basic needs of people

Senior Correspondent: Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzak said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is working relentlessly to meet the basic needs of people. 

The minister said this while addressing a programme at Bangabandhu International Conference Center on Saturday.

He said, “Nutrition is one of the main conditions for the development of a nation. Food management has been made more practical and powerful to build a self-reliant and prosperous Bangladesh.”

“We want to ensure safety and nutrition of every single people. We have achieved huge success in every sectors including agriculture, education, health, infrastructure development, power and information technology,” he added.

Meanwhile, the minister urged Agriculture, Health, Social Welfare, Environment, Water, Disaster Management, Women and Children, Industries, Fisheries and Livestock ministries to work making coordination.

Food ministry secretary Shahabuddin Ahmed presided over the function where Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumdar, European Union Delegation Chief and others attended.
