Sheikh Hasina seeks vote for Boat

Magura Correspondent: Ruling Bangladesh Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has again urged people of the country to cast their votes in favour of her party’s symbol ‘Boat’ in all future elections for the continuation of the development activities.

"Awami League means development, so you please keep your confidence on Awami League, the way you cast your votes in 2008 and 2014 elections, please cast your votes in all of the coming elections for the symbol of ‘Boat’ to give the scope for serving you," said Hasina.

The Prime Minister was addressing a gathering at Freedom Fighter Asaduzzaman Stadium in Magura on Tuesday afternoon.
 

Sheikh Hasina said that her government is working relentlessly for progress of the country and materializing the dreams of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

While talking about the demands of the people of Magura, she assured them that the district will be brought under rail network to fulfill their aspirations.
 

Earlier, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 28 development projects involving Taka 327 crore.
 

After arrival in the town in the afternoon, the premier opened 19 development schemes by unveiling their plaques from Freedom Fighter Asaduzzaman Stadium.

From the stadium, the prime minister also laid the foundation stones of nine development schemes to be executed at a cost of Tk 177.11 crore.
