Guaranty on Marcel TV Panel extended to 4 years

Staff Reporter: The local electronics and electrical manufacturer ‘Marcel’ extended the replacement guaranty period of its televisions panel to 4 years. Earlier, customers of Marcel televisions enjoyed two years replacement guaranty on the TV panel.

As per the recent announcement of Marcel authorities, the guaranty period of the panel of Marcel 32-inch or its above sizes televisions like 39, 43, 49 and 55-inch has been extended to four years from the previous 2 two years. The extended guaranty period has been effective from Marcel 2, 2019.

The customers of Marcel brand’s 20-inch to 28-inch televisions will enjoy the previous two year’s replacement guaranty on the panel.

Marcel officials came up with the announcement at a ‘Declaration Programme’ at its corporate office’s conference room in the capital on March 10.

The programme was attended by the company’s Executive Directors Eva Rezwana, Md Humayun Kabir, Aminul Islam Khan (Amin Khan), Marcel’s Head of Sales Dr Md Shakhawat Hossen and Head of Service Md Mojahidul Islam.

The officials said that Marcel is manufacturing world-class LED and smart televisions at its own factory in Chandra of Gazipur. They set up a television research and development center equipped with the sophisticated and advanced machineries. A group of highly skilled and experienced engineers are engaged in the continuous improvement of the television’s quality.

Speaking at the function, Dr Md Shakhawat Hossen said, customers of both the LED and the Smart televisions of 32-inch to 55-inch will get the extended 4 years replacement guaranty on the panel. And the customers of 20 to 28-inch Marcel televisions will enjoy two years replacement guaranty on the panel, he added.

Now, Marcel released 12 models of LED TVs of 32, 39, 43, 49 and 55-inch. Prices of these televisions are ranging from Tk17,500 to Tk59,900. In addition, Marcel has 5 models of smart televisions of 32, 39 and 43-inch in the local market between Tk22,900 and Tk44,900.

Marcel’s Brand Ambassador film actor Amin Khan said, Marcel televisions won the customers-faith for highest standard quality and affordable rates. The market share of Marcel in Bangladesh is growing rapidly, he said adding: the extension of TV panel guaranty period will further strengthen the customers-faith on Marcel televisions.

Marcel’s Executive Director Eva Rezwana is addressing the ‘Declaration programme’ on the extension of TV panel’s replacement guaranty to four years.

Marcel Service Head Md Mojahidul Islam said, panel is the most important and costly part of a television. A panel alone incurs 60 percent of the total manufacturing cost of a televisions.

When the panel of a television is damaged, the user has to expense a large amount of money for the panel’s repair, mentioning it he noted that Marcel televisions are manufactured with highest standard HADS (High Advance Super Dimension Switch) and IPS (In Plan Switching) panels that are produced in ISO class seven dust free clean room, to ensure the quality and durability of the panels.

As a result, viewers will get high viewing angle and high contrast pictures. Moreover, the Marcel TVs are huge power efficient.

Marcel is now offering 6-month replacement warranty for television panel, and two years warranty for panel and spare parts as well as free after sales of services for five years.
