H M Ershad hospitalized

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: Former military ruler and Jatiya Party (JP) chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad has been taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Rangpur as he fell ill.

Jatiya Party Rangpur unit president Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa and its General Secretary SM Yasser Ahmed confirmed the matter.

Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa said that the party chairman joined several meetings and rallies on Tuesday. He felt sick around 9:00pm after returning at his Palli Nibash residence in Rangpur. Later, he was taken to Rangpur Combined Military Hospital.

On September 24, Hussain Muhammad Ershad left Dhaka for Rangpur on a four-day long visit.
