HC forms two committees over question paper leakage

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) has formed two probe bodies over question paper leakage of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations in 2018.

The two committees-- judicial probe body and administrative committee- were comprised of five members each. The judicial probe body will be led by the judge of Dhaka district and sessions judge court while another will be chaired by Professor Kaykobad.

The HC bench of Justice Jubayer Rahman Chowdhury and Justice Iqbal Kabir passed the order on Thursday.

Earlier, the court issued a rule upon the authorities concerned asking as to why SSC examinations should not be cancelled and taken fresh over incident of question paper leakage, after hearing on a writ petition in this regard.

Advocate Ainunnahar Siddiqa, a lawyer of the Supreme Court, and two other lawyers filed the writ petition on Wednesday.

In the writ petition, they sought an order of High Court directing the Law Ministry for taking steps including enacting a law to stop question paper leakage of SSC examinations.
