HC issues rule over Joy Bangla slogan

Staff Correspondent: The High Court has issued a rule asking the authorities concerned to explain why 'Joy Bangla slogan', should not be declared as national slogan.

The HC bench of Justice Kazi Rezaul Haque and Justice Mohammad Ullah passed the order on Monday noon.

The court said the Joy Bangla slogan inspired the nation to join war under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1971. As a result, we achieved independence from Pakistan.
