HC issues rule over SSC form fill up extra fees

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) has issued a rule asking the authority concern as to why charging extra fees for filling up SSC forms should not be declared illegal.
Alongside, the court also asked principal of Gazipur School and College of Habiganj's Chunarughat, president and secretary of its governing body, to inform the measure taken in this regard to the chairman of Sylhet Education Board.
The court also ordered to present the matter before it within January 4.
The bench of Justice Md Rezaul Haque and Justice Mohammad Ullah came up with the suo moto rule on Tuesday.
Education Secretary, Chairman of Sylhet Education Board, Habiganj District Administration and Education officer among nine concern were asked to reply to rule within four weeks.
Earlier on November 23, Md Jalal Uddin, guardian of a student of Gazipur School and College, filed the writ petition.
Advocate Zahir Uddin Limon moved for the petition in the court.
