HC order to give Shahidul division upheld

Staff Correspondent: The Supreme Court has upheld the High Court order that asked the prison authorities to give division to photographer Shahidul Alam as per the Jail Code.

After dismissing a leave-to-appeal petition filed by the government, a bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the order on Thursday.

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam appeared for the government while Barrister Sara Hossain moved for Shahidul.
