Give Shahidul treatment at BSMMU: HC

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) has ordered the authority concerned to give treatment to the noted photographer Dr Shahidul Alam, who had been placed on a seven-day remand in an ICT case, at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
The bench led by Justice Syed Muhammad Dastagir Husain on Tuesday came up with the order after hearing on a writ petition filed challenging the legality of remand of Shahidul Alam.
The court also ordered to form a board for his treatment and to submit report at 10:00am on Thursday.
The court also fixed the day (Thursday) for further hearing on the writ petition.
Eminent jurist Dr Kamal Hossain stood for Shahidul in the hearing.
A Dhaka court placed him on a seven-day remand in the case on Monday.
