HC rule on bail to 20 who jailed without trial

Staff Correspondent: Two separate benches of the High Court (HC) on Tuesday morning issued a rule upon two orders that granted bail to 20 prisoners who had been imprisoned for over a decade without trial.

One of the High Court benches comprising of Justice Obaidul Hasan and Justice Krishna Devnath issued a rule upon an order that granted bail to 10 prisoners who had been imprisoned for over a decade without trial.

The court has also asked authorities concerned to produce five prisoners before it on February 26 and the left five on February 28.

Besides, another HC bench issued a rule upon an order that granted bail to 10 prisoners who had been imprisoned without trial.
