HC stays decision of ASM Feroz’s loan reschedule

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) has stayed the decision of parliament chief whip ASM Feroz’s loan rescheduling of Tk 27 crore of Sonali Bank.
That means ASM Feroz cannot contest in the upcoming 11th general election, according to lawyers.
The bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil handed down the order on Thursday, following primary hearing on a writ petition filed in this regard.
Barrister Rokon Uddin Mahmud and M Mainul Islam moved for the writ petition while deputy attorney general Mokhlesur Rahman represented the state in the court.
