HM Ershad takes oath

Senior Correspondent: Jaitya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ershad has taken oath as a member of the 11th Parliament.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the oath at Parliament Bhaban on Sunday noon.
Meanwhile, Ershad’s younger brother Jatiya Party cochairman GM Quader attended the function. Basically, the JP Chief could not take oath due to his physical illness on Thursday.
Earlier on Saturday, the former president was taken to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, Ershad’s personal secretary Monjurul Islam said.
