Hallmark scandal: Ejaz Ahmed's bail canceled

Staff Correspondent: The Appellate Division has canceled bail to Ejaz Ahmed accused in six cases of Hallmark scam.  At the same time, the court has ordered him to surrender before the court.

A seven-member bench headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the order after hearing on a bail petition on Monday.

Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan stood for Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) and Advocate Tausif Hossain stood for the petitioner.

Later, Khurshid Alam Khan said the High Court granted bail to Ejaz Ahmad in six cases of the Hallmark scam. We appealed to the Appellate Division it has ordered the cancellation of bail after hearing.

Earlier, ACC filed a charge sheet in 14 cases filed against two associate organizations in 2014.

Later, the court ordered to send him to jail. In the aftermath, he got bail from the High Court.
