Hartal cannot be solution to any problem: Obaidul

Staff Correspondent: Awami League General Secretary and Roads Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said that at present Hartal cannot be a solution to solving any problem.

The minister said this while speaking at a programme organised by Dhaka South city unit of Chhatra League, student front of Awami League, at the Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) marking the International Mother Language Day on Tuesday.

Obaidul Quader termed the ongoing transport strike as illogical saying that the transport workers have no right to create public suffering centering a court verdict.

He also came down heavily on the people who speak on mobile phone while crossing roads and blamed the drivers for their desperate driving.

Dhaka City (South) BCL president Bayezid Ahmed Khan chaired the function, which was also addressed, among others, by central BCL president Saifur Rahman Shohag and its general secretary SM Zakir Hussain
