High Court stays nomination of 3 BNP candidates

Staff Correspondent: The High Court has stayed the candidature of three more BNP candidates as a result they will not be able to participate in the upcoming general election.
The candidates are Shamim Takulder from Jamalpur-3, Fazlur Rahman from Joypurhat-1 and Abdul Mojid from Jhenidah-2.
The court also issued separate rules asking the Election Commission to explain why its decisions should not be declared illegal.
The bench of Justice JBM Hassan and Justice Md Khairul Alam issued the orders and rules following three writ petitions.
