Holidaymakers coming back to Dhaka after Eid

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka dwellers have begun streaming back to the capital after spending the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays in their town and village homes.

Everyday the buses are carrying thousands of passengers who are getting off at different inter-district bus terminals like Gabtoli, Mohakhali and Sayedabad, while Sadarghat is teeming with the passengers of launches and steamers from the southern part of the country.

Kamalapur Railway station has been seen with teeming passengers getting off from different train services at the platform of the station on Thursday.

Due to the pressure of work station and livelihood, the city people are returning to Dhaka after enjoying Eid-ul-Fitr vacation, passengers said.

However, a large number of jobholders took additional leave to enjoy more during the Eid vacation.  So, the capital also was yet to get back its normal activities as many people were still out of city to celebrate Eid at their ancestral homes or other places.
