Holidays of govt employees in 19 districts cancelled

Secretariat Correspondent: Weekends and holidays for all government officers and staff have been cancelled in 19 coastal districts as part of preparation to face cyclone ‘Titli’.

Relief and Disaster Management Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya said this at a press conference on Thursday.

Alongside, measures have been being taken to combat the impact of Cyclone Titli as well, he also said.

Even though, Titli made landfall in India, Bangladesh has taken preparations against the cyclone, the minister added.

Adequate relief has also been kept at the ready, the minister said.
