Huge cache of explosives found in Ctg militant den

Staff Correspondent: Huge cache of explosive and bomb making materials found at militants hideout in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong. (online news)

Sources said that the law enforcers found several types of bombs, explosives there. Bodies of two bomb expert "Neo JMB" were also recovered from the area.  

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Additional Deputy Commissioner Sanwar Hossain said at least 40-50 powerful bombs can be made with the recovered bomb making equipments in the spot. today news

He also said the law enforcers seized some of bombs and 12 set gel explosives from the building. Besides, liquid explosive, suicidal vest and other materials were found.

Earlier, a special team of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) and district police of Chittagong launched the special operation codenamed ‘Assault 16’ around 6am.

After the operation, four bodies were recovered from the militant den.
