IBC demands Tk 16,000 salary for garment workers

Economic Correspondent: IndustriALL Bangladesh Council (IBC) has demanded minimum Tk 16,000 monthly wage for garment workers after fixing five grades including 10 percent yearly increment.

Touhidur Rahman, general secretary of ICB, came up with the demands in a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) on Wednesday.

IndustriALL Bangladesh Council (ICB), Bangladesh Garments Sramik Oikya Parishad, National Manch to Protect Garments Workers and Industries, Garment Workers’ Rights Movement, Garment Workers' Wage Movement and Garment Workers' Coordination Council jointly arranged the press briefing.
